Omar Cooper Jr. Doubles Down On 100-Yard Performance

A 30-yard gain on the first target of his NFL career ended with a high-ankle sprain and a month on the pine for Omar Cooper Jr.

The 30th overall pick back in April was drafted into a Jets room desperate for a complimentary WR2 to the incumbent top dog in Garrett Wilson. The early injury left fans feeling cautiously optimistic about the young prospect, but his return has completely reinvented the narrative.

After a Week 6 return-to-action against the Patriots where he posted a 6/103/1 line, Cooper confirmed the breakout watch with a Week 7 line of 5/115/1. Explosive playmaking ability has been copy/pasted from his memorable Junior and Senior seasons at Indiana University which landed him as WR5 and the 35th overall prospect in our 2026 big board.

Should the past two weeks become the foundation beneath a stack of game-changing performances throughout the remainder of the season, OCJ will find himself right in the thick of the Offensive Rookie of the Year race.
