Buffalo -6.5 vs Pittsburgh
Philadelphia +3 @ Atlanta
San Francisco – 8.5 vs Detroit
Seattle (-158) @ Indianapolis
Miami @ New England OVER 43.5
Los Angeles Rams -7.5 vs Chicago
Buffalo is on the revenge tour, and their first show is in a full house under a new name with the crazed Bills Mafia back at full capacity. This is a no-brainer touchdown win for Josh Allen & Co.
I like Philly here. Atlanta has the world to prove in the era following Julio, but the chip on Jalen Hurts’ shoulder is substantial. That Eagles offense is refueled and I REALLY like the Hurts to Devonta Smith connection. Shades of former Alabama beat downs loading…
Expect to see a deep playoff run out of the Niners this season. Injury ridden last year coming off of a Super Bowl loss, this group is healthy, hungry, and fueled by internal competition led by a stellar coaching staff. Detroit could be interesting with Jared Goff (?) but I’ll be putting my money against them until proven otherwise.
Seattle moneyline here. The Colts were a good football team last year, but I do not expect an encore. Seahawks are -3 in this game, but I don’t like that number. Seattle contests were decided by more than one score only four times last year. I like the matchup, and this feels like a safe play.
Dolphins at Patriots. Two quarterbacks from the same college locker room… I am far too big a fan of the intangibles in sports to not hit the over here. Mac Jones has so much to prove to weary Pats fans after the Cam debacle, and I believe he will live up to the first round hype. If this game goes under, it will be the result of a classic Belichick ground and pound attack paired with a lackluster Miami performance. Again, for me, this bet is based exclusively on bragging rights for the old Bama boys turned division rivals. Round one – FIGHT!
Rams -7.5 against the Bears is the money in the bank game of the week.
